GUIDE · BUILDING BLOCKS

Give each piece
a place to belong.

The structure is simple: a workspace contains workbooks; each workbook brings related sheets together.

01

Workspaces separate organizations

Each workspace has its own members, roles, and data. Switch workspaces from the top-left menu. Use separate workspaces when the same people should not automatically see another organization's records.

02

Workbooks bring an operation together

A workbook groups related sheets, an overview, reports, and documents. Rename, color, reorder, or archive a workbook from its management controls. Archiving preserves data and pauses helpers; restoring does not silently resume them.

03

Links connect records without copying them

A linked-record field points to a record on another sheet. For example, connect an Opportunity to a Company and an Invoice to its line items. Pickers use readable names instead of asking you to remember IDs.

04

Calculated fields stay consistent

Formulas calculate values from fields. Rollups summarize linked records, including totals, averages, or counts. They are calculated values, so edit the source information rather than typing over the result. Invalid or circular calculations display empty.

05

Views answer different questions

Use Table for detailed editing, Board or Pipeline for stages, Calendar and Timeline for dates, Gallery for visual browsing, and List for focused records. Chart and Workload provide other perspectives. A Form can collect responses into its sheet when published by an owner or admin.
