GUIDE · YOUR DATA

Bring your work.
Keep it portable.

Start from a spreadsheet you already understand, then give it the connections and views it needs.

01

Prepare the spreadsheet

Use a clear header row and one record per row. Put the record name in the first column. Use YYYY-MM-DD for dates. Keep identifiers with leading zeros as text unless you deliberately want a numeric value.

02

Review the import

Choose Import CSV on first run or Import data from the workbook home. Upload CSV or TSV, or paste cells. Review the first five rows, set column types, name the sheet, and choose its destination before saving.

  • Up to 500 data rows per import
  • Up to 50 columns and 2 MB of source data
  • The serialized save request must also fit within 4 MiB
03

Export a sheet

Use Space options → Export CSV. Exports contain active records, calculated values, and readable linked-record and member names. Formula-like text is prefixed with an apostrophe so spreadsheet software treats it as text.

04

Keep a real backup

CSV exports are useful for portability but do not replace a full backup of the database and private attachments. Your deployment operator should back up both and test restoration before relying on the system.
