Open Documents inside a workbook and choose New document: Invoice, Quote, Letter, or Blank page. Create with Ralti proposes an editable layout; it does not issue, number, or send a document. Manual layout creation remains available without an AI provider.

Create a connected layout#

  • Add text, headings, fields, columns, images, repeating tables, totals, separators, spacing, page breaks, and conditional sections.
  • In Page & data, select a source sheet and preview record, A4 or Letter, currency, margins, colors, headers, footers, and page numbering.
  • Map a repeating table through the relationship that connects line items to the source record. Check several records, including a long example.
  • Save template for reuse, or Use this layout to create an individual draft. A saved connected template can create up to 100 separate drafts in a batch.

Edit and preview on iPhone#

In the phone document workspace, choose Edit document to work on content and settings, then Preview to inspect the page. The preview control is also labeled Preview document for accessibility. A read-only document shows Document details instead of an editing label. Larger screens give the editor and preview more room together.

Changing between Edit and Preview keeps you in the same document; it does not finalize it. Check a long record and any repeating line items before saving or finalizing. In the installed iOS app, PDF downloads and exports open the system share sheet, including Save to Files. Print uses the system print controls.

Finalize and revise#

Save the draft, resolve missing data, and choose Finalize. Ralti allocates a unique document number and saves the resolved content and actual PDF bytes in an immutable version. Download PDF retrieves that version. Later source-record or template changes do not rewrite it. Create revision opens another draft and preserves prior versions under the same document number.

Review financial inputs#

Where mapped, quantity × unit price is authoritative. Each line rounds half away from zero to the currency’s minor unit; discounts apply to subtotal, then tax applies to the discounted subtotal. Missing mapped prices or quantities block finalization. The server resolves complete linked collections, including rows outside the visible table page.

If a document fails validation, inspect its source record, deleted fields, relationship paths, and required money inputs. A record’s Documents section and a document’s Open record action connect the output back to its source.
