The account wizard offers presets for iCloud, Fastmail, Yahoo, and Zoho plus editable custom server settings. Use the provider’s app password when required and confirm the subscription actually permits IMAP. The connection check authenticates and discovers folders; it does not send a test message. Non-secret settings can remain in the wizard, while passwords clear when it closes.

The server accepts only endpoints that resolve exclusively to public internet addresses. It pins the checked IP while validating the certificate against the original hostname. Private-network mail servers, localhost, and local bridge software are outside this hosted connection path. Disabling TLS is not an available fallback.
Folder discovery and safe actions#
Sending requires usable Drafts and Sent folders. Archive, Trash, and restore need the corresponding destination and native IMAP MOVE support. Ralti avoids unsafe copy/delete fallbacks. Folder discovery uses special-use declarations, then conventional names. Each account advertises capabilities, and unsupported controls are disabled in the interface and checked on the server.
Sync is paged and polled by workers. Large accounts require multiple passes; existing messages stay visible until the full scan can reconcile removed memberships. IMAP reads at most 1 MB of MIME source per message and marks truncated content. Incoming messages render as plain text without loading remote images. Categories remain Ralti metadata, separate from server folders and Gmail labels.
Gmail delegated accounts and aliases are not implemented; Microsoft shared mailboxes have a separate supported path. Email setup and mailbox management run in the shared website and installed iPhone/iPad app. The earlier Android interface does not include this email center.
